Hello again! I thought I might take a minute and give a quick update on how creative things are going around here. So the streaming show series has been underway for a few months now and it's been really nice to be able to share music with people far and wide. A few months ago I did a solo saxophone show and it was nice to flex those particular muscles, yet it still feels like my bread-and-butter is the solo piano & voice show. In fact, most days don't feel complete if I don't play at least a few songs on the piano. Sitting down at that piano bench has become a great part of a routine for me, but more than that, it's a way to relax my shoulders and dispel whatever the complicated cocktail of energy is I'm carrying around with me that day through music. September is a busy month for me but I'm going to do another short piano & voice show on:

Friday September 26 5pm PT on Zoom

Just make sure you're on the mailing list and you'll receive the Zoom link. Stay tuned because I've got some more streaming show plans in the works for October and beyond, including a special collaborative production you won't want to miss!

In other news, I've got some new music that just released on my BandCamp page! It's called Solo for Cymbal and it's an original composition I wrote in 2024. With a deceptively simplistic title, you might be thinking, how much can you do with a single cymbal? The piece invites both the performer and the listener to move beyond what you normally think of when you think about the sound of cymbals and to explore the sonic complexities that exist there. I'm excited for you to check it out. It's available for streaming and download now:

Thanks for reading and listening!
